I work using a combination of deep tissue, active techniques, myofascial and swedish to encourage change in the muscles while also guiding the body into a deep state of relaxation. I believe in utilizing a holistic perspective. My treatments tend to incorporate the whole body and are designed to decrease pain, encourage circulation and promote body awareness.
The most rewarding part of my career is helping my patients return to feeling like themselves again after dealing with chronic pain or acute injury.
Before massage therapy, my background was in mental health. My past work informs my knowledge of the pain-stress cycle, the nervous system and mindfulness but has also taught me how to create a non-judgmental, patient centered experience for my clients.
I myself first came to massage therapy first as a patient dealing with chronic pain. It enriched my well-being so profoundly that I found myself a year later in the classroom studying to be an RMT.
