Brian’s Unique Approach: Gentle & Effective Solution for Pain, Anxiety, and Insomnia
Brian’s journey to becoming an acupuncturist was a deeply personal one, shaped by his own struggles with chronic illness and anxiety. After finding profound relief through acupuncture for his own back pain, insomnia, and anxiety, he was driven to understand the science behind true healing.
This quest led him to bridge the gap between traditional Eastern and modern Western medicine. With over 11 years of experience in rehabilitation services at Private Physiotherapy Clinics, Richmond General and Vancouver General Hospital, Brian combines his background in physiotherapy with extensive training in Korean/Chinese Medicine, neuroscience, psychology, and functional rehabilitation from the US, Korea, and Canada.
Today, he offers a unique, comprehensive approach to his downtown Vancouver patients. He
utilizes a powerful combination of techniques including neuromuscular rehabilitation, advanced acupuncture methods like IMS (Dry Needling), Acupotomy (Fascia Needling), and Electro-Acupuncture, as well as specialized neurological methods—to address the root causes of pain and stress. This ensures a highly personalized and effective path to physical and mental wellness.
What is IMS (Dry Needling)?
IMS, or Intramuscular Stimulation, is a modern acupuncture technique specifically designed to
treat chronic muscle pain. A very fine needle is inserted into a tight, knotted muscle (often called a “trigger point”) to make it involuntarily twitch and then relax. This helps release deepseated tension and knots that are difficult to reach with other methods, providing quick and effective relief from persistent muscle pain.
What is Acupotomy?
Acupotomy is a specialized technique that uses a unique needle with a tiny, flat tip. It is designed to carefully release chronic pain by freeing up scar tissue, adhesions, and “stuck” fascia (the connective tissue surrounding muscles). By targeting these restrictions, Acupotomy can restore movement, reduce chronic stiffness, and address the root cause of stubborn pain that has not responded to other treatments.
What is Electro Acupuncture?
Electro-Acupuncture is a therapy where a gentle, low-level electrical current is passed between
a few acupuncture needles. The current feels like a mild buzzing or tapping sensation and is always adjusted to your comfort level. This technique amplifies the effects of traditional acupuncture, providing stronger and longer-lasting pain relief, reducing inflammation more effectively, and helping to stimulate nerve and muscle function.

My journey with Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) began through my own experience of pain and healing. In my mid-twenties, I developed a herniated disc that caused intense pain and numbness in my legs every few years. Sometimes the pain was so severe that I could barely walk or had to drag my leg. I visited many doctors and specialists, but after long hours of waiting, the results were always temporary.
Then I was introduced to an acupuncturist—and that completely changed my life. After a series of treatments, the numbness and pain that had troubled me for three years disappeared. I was finally able to walk freely again and return to my daily life.
That experience touched me deeply and inspired me to study Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM). I left my desk job and began learning TCM in depth. Through my studies, I discovered that the philosophy of balance, harmony, lifestyle, and natural healing in TCM is closely connected to Japanese culture as well.
Now, I’m passionate about helping others find relief and balance—both physically and emotionally—through acupuncture, herbal therapy, and lifestyle guidance.
I specialize in pain management, women’s health, fertility support, pediatrics, cosmetic acupuncture, stress reduction, insomnia care, and preventive medicine. For me, healing isn’t just about easing pain—it’s about helping each person feel calm, healthy, and peaceful in their everyday life.

With nearly five years of clinical experience as a Registered Massage Therapist, and even more years immersed in the health and performance industry. Davinder has built a reputation for solving complex problems that others overlook. His systematic, outside-the-box approach consistently guides patients from assessment to meaningful, lasting relief. Treatments for pain relief follow a structured progression: detailed assessment, myofascial release, fascial stretch therapy, massage, skeletal adjustments, activation techniques, and personalized homecare aligned with the patient’s goals.
Davinder’s passion for health and wellness began through necessity. After sustaining significant injuries from sports and a motor vehicle accident, he was forced to rebuild his body from the ground up. This process shaped both his clinical perspective and his discipline. By resolving his own chronic issues, he developed a focus in treating the neck, shoulders, and hips. Areas that have become the cornerstone of his practice.
Outside the clinic, he maintains a high-performance lifestyle through strength training, snowboarding, travel, motorcycles, and quality time with loved ones. His lived experience, combined with his professional training, drives his mission: helping others return to the life they want to live with confidence, resilience, and long-term results.

Hi, I’m Omeed, I was born and raised here in Vancouver and I’m a recent VCMT graduate awaiting to take my registration exams in March. My path to massage started with my own experience managing back pain. After trying countless treatments, massage therapy made the biggest difference, and it inspired me to help others find the same kind of relief. I love that massage can make such a real impact without relying on medication and people always said I had “strong hands,” so I guess this career was meant to be!
I take a collaborative approach to treatment, something I really refined during my time at school. I’ve had the opportunity to work with a wide range of patients and have seen how communication, assessment, and really listening to patients can lead to great results. My goal is always to ensure every patient leaves feeling heard, cared for, and satisfied that their areas of concern were fully addressed.
I’m especially interested in treating back pain, general tension, and trigger points through deeper techniques such as Myofascial Release, Neuromuscular Therapy, and Trigger Point work. I also incorporate relaxation and stretching techniques to promote mobility, reduce pain, and help patients feel balanced and restored.
When I’m not in the clinic, you can usually find me watching movies or listening to music, I’ve got a soft spot for 80s and 90s tunes, but I’m always up for new stuff too. I like staying active, hitting the gym, and spending time at the beach (especially for sunsets). I love exploring new places and just going with the flow wherever life takes me.

I take the time to understand how pain, stress, or injury is affecting a client’s daily life, and I tailor each session to support their individual goals and needs on that day.
Rather than focusing on techniques alone, I prioritize movement quality, tissue health, and overall function. I find real meaning in helping people feel more comfortable in their bodies and move through everyday life with greater ease and confidence.
